- Synopsis

A group of Kurds gets the news that three members of a German extreme right-wing party are having dinner at a restaurant in Berlin's Kreuzberg district. Sick of being target of Nazi attacks, of "having the smell of smoke in the nose", they go, hooded and armed with sticks, to give them a warning. In the attack Zauser, the Treasurer of the party, is killed, which triggers a police raid that ends with the arrest of many participant in the attack and protagonist of the novel fleeing police.

Bibliography by ZELIK, RAUL ZELIK, RAUL was born in Munich in 1968. In 1997 he published his first novel Friß und stirb trotzdem and since then he has received many literary awards and recognitions. He has made several trips to Latin America. As a result, he has published some political-literary chronicles such as Venezuela más allá de Chávez and the novel La negra, set in Colombia. He also wrote the novel Berliner VerhTMltnisse (translated into Spanish as Situaciones berlinesas, Txalaparta, 2008), which was nominated in 2005 for the National Book Award in Germany. He has a close relationship with Euskal Herria. That is why he translated (together with Petra Elser) from Basque into German the novel Lagun izoztua by Joseba Sarrionandia, and published the novel Der bewaffnete Freund (translated into Spanish as El amigo armado and into Basque as Lagun armatua, both by Txalaparta publishing house)
